Prairie Dropseed is a native warm-season, bunch grass that grows well in full sun and drier soils. It is an extremely low maintenance plant that can be used in mixes with other native grasses. Spacing plants 1-2 ft. apart in a row can also make a natural border. The globe-type seed head and long wispy leaves make it very eye catching in a landscape setting with other native grasses and wildflowers.
