Cool-season, sod-forming grass that finds its home on wet, poorly drained soils. Will tolerate frequent flooding. Will grow in acid-type soilds and is moderately salt-tolerant. Acceptable hay or grazing may be acquired by grazing or harvesting before the flowering stage. Is not aggressive in mixtures. Spring or fall seeding. Perennial.
