Adaptable Wetland Species
About Common Fox Sedge
Common Fox Sedge, also known as Awl Fruited Sedge, is a 2 to 3-foot tall sedge that thrives best in wetland areas. Because of its adaptability, Common Fox Sedge is suitable for restoration because it can survive seasonal flooding and slow-moving water as long as it has full sun exposure. This plant is deer-resistant; however, it will attract a few songbirds, many caterpillars and a variety of waterfowl.
