Weed Control Advice
Use resources like the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's turfgrass management guides to identify common weeds based on their characteristics and growth patterns.
What are weeds?
Weeds are plants considered undesirable or invasive in areas such as lawns, pastures, and gardens.
Why do weeds grow?
Nature despises bare soil! Whenever the soil is disturbed, weeds are likely to emerge. Some seeds can remain dormant in the soil seed bank for decades. Additionally, the presence of certain weeds can indicate an imbalance in the soil. Conducting a soil test can help determine if any amendments are necessary.
What options do I have for control?
Patience and diligence are key. Check out Stock’s maintenance calendar and weed management guides below.
