Prairie Junegrass provides good early spring forage for livestock and is desirable forage for deer in the spring and early summer. This native, perennial, cool season grass, found on the plains and open forest areas, is cold, heat, and drought tolerant. Best seeded in the spring. It is reccommended to allow 2-3 growing seasons before grazing by livestock.
