About Italian Ryegrass

Italian Ryegrass, or Annual Ryegrass, is a cool-season, annual bunchgrass adapted to many sites as long as enough water is available. This Ryegrass establishes quickly and easily. It is highly palatable to livestock and wildlife and works very well for temporary pasture or early spring growth in permanent pastures. It is occasionally used in erosion control blends for quick, temporary cover. It is also a popular choice for winter over-seeding of turf areas in the south and southwest.

**If using in a mix with alfalfa do not use more than 4 lbs/ac of Italian Ryegrass.
