About Sweet Joe Pye Weed
Sweet Joe Pye Weed is 3'-6' tall perennial wildflower with pink or purple colored flowers between July and September. It thrives in wooded areas, prairies, wooded slopes, or along riverbanks. It prefers full sun or partial shade, but can also grow in shaded areas. It grows best in moist soils.
This wildflower is an important source of nectar and pollen for bees and butterflies and birds will sometimes feed on the seeds.
