About Flax

Flax is a plant known historically for fiber production. The seed is used to produce edible oils and also oils for wood finishing products. As a cover crop, flax helps to mobilize phosphorus in the soil and add organic matter. A good companion seeding crop for use with small seeded grasses and legumes due to its early maturity, limited leaf area, and less extensive root system.
